Microsoft moving in the right direction… uphill of course.
I can’t really say if I’d consider these ads to be cool or not. But I’d definitely say they are a nice step in the right direction. I like the fact that they aren’t marketing any particular product other than a slight hint of being geared towards small and medium businesses in some of them. The “Boys & Girls Club of America” advert is good at showing Microsoft’s contributions to the community too, “Creativity” is a good general image shifter ad that probably needs more air time I think. It’s a shame that there aren’t some TV ads done about the great contributions given out by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. While they wouldn’t be Microsoft ads, I bet most people will put the two together and that’ll help change public opinion. Overall I like this latest set of TV advertising for Microsoft. I’m a little curious which ad agency Microsoft used this time around? They should be used again imho.
