I like where you are going, but I do have a possibly interesting design challenge for you, which is mildly based on a previous version of what we did for www.windowsmedia.org.

We did a web interface which looked remarkably like the wm7 player, which was a lot of fun, and got rave reviews for us, but was a pain in the arse to update.

My new suggestion is to just do whatever you want for the site, but to do it using the htmlview tag, so it can be done literally within the wm9 player, and then make clever use of that fact.

Just a thought...
