I just found it, because I was also looking for a sleeve for my brand new Latitude X1.

My surprise was that they have for the 2 dimension, with the standard battery or with the extended one, which makes the laptop bigger…

I came across your blog while I was searching for latitude x1 sleeves. I also have a latitude x1 and was looking for a perfect sized sleeve – waterfield designs (www.sfbags.com) is currently in development to make their sleevecase for the latitude x1. They have great sleeves and I ordered one of their prototypes for the latitude x1 – you should contact them also. great customer service and very high quality bags.

I had given up looking on the internet for a perfect-fitting sleeve for my X1. I just found this at a luggage store by coincidence: It fits TIGHTLY. If u choose to carry the ac adapter it even fits on the "disc" pockets. You just put the thicker cable on one pocket and the main adapter on the other.

Well, Mac users are a well-defined market and they spend lots of money on accessories. Fitted sleeves don't leave much room for error in sizes, so its easier to use the macs as a model, really.

We're developing a new padded sleeve for laptops, and if I could get a standard size for some pc laptops, I would. But sony's come in odd shapes, and there are no Dell's to test sizes on.

But, I can make you a customized padded sleeve to fit your Dell, in Thai or Chinese silk.

are you inferring that mac users don't? Sorry friend, but most magazines you read, ads you see, commercials and tv shows you watch, and many websites were all made by mac users on their macs. Windows is fine, but don't get me started by saying that rediculous and unfounded statement. For me, the mac has been more of a productivity booster than any unix or windows machine i have owned in the last 15 years.

Because, most pc users are still totally uncooth. Look at how most people carry their laptops: Huge great bags with all the accessories. WHY!?!?!?!??! And those that don't, like to flaunt it – so they carry it at their side and are all cheeky about it. Finally, and I think this the most important fact (*tounge in cheek*) most PC users actually use their laptop – they are moving from meeting to meeting with their laptop. If you add a case to thsi it's in-out-in-out etc which is just annoying. If/when you leave for somewhere else, just put it your normal backpack.

Other theories:

"This skin fits the following laptops: *25 item list*" Or

"This skin fits the apple power book!". People can just compare with apples.
